Xiaomi will unveil the 14T series tomorrow, September 26 (exactly a year after the 13T series went live). However, over the last 48 hours we have seen a lot of impatience – first Amazon Italy revealed the pre-order perks, now Xiaomi Romania is posting promo videos. Xiaomi’s global account has a few teaser videos, but those don’t show much. The ones embedded below are quite short, but they do show the new phones.
As you can see from the first one, the cameras on the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro have been co-engineered with Leica and have Summilux lenses. The video shows the 14T Pro snapping a photo at 60mm, although we’re not sure whether that’s the camera’s native focal length or if it’s one of the zoom modes.
Moving on to the second clip, this one focuses on video, specifically “Movie mode”. This isn’t new, the Xiaomi 14 phones (non-T) have it too. It defaults to a 2.29:1 aspect ratio (matching the classic anamorphic widescreen format) and adds a cinematic bokeh with the option for automatic focus switching (you can see the camera rack focus from one person to the other).
The last video isn’t about the Xiaomi 14T phones specifically, but about all the new products coming tomorrow. This includes the phones, new buds (Xiaomi Buds 5), a new watch and more.
The big event starts tomorrow at 2:00pm GMT, check back with us for all the details.
